HELP YOUR PEERS DISCOVER AMBOSS

Be part of the AMBOSSador program

If you've ever wished you could find a way to spread the word about AMBOSS, and help your peers use AMBOSS to tackle the specific challenges you face at your school... Here is your chance!

As an AMBOssador, you'll be taking on an important, supportive role in your community — and of course, there are some cool rewards in it for you, too.

YOUR MOTIVATION

Should you become an AMBOSSador?

  • You want to make med school a little easier for those who come after you

As an AMBOSSador, you'll really become a go-to person in your community, helping your peers discover AMBOSS and use it to reach their goals.

  • You love bringing people together

AMBOSSadors often help us organize events or webinars at their institution. If that's something you enjoy, there may be opportunities to travel to AMBOSS Roadshows, or our offices in New York City and Berlin, Germany.

  • Your peers already think you're an AMBOSS spokesperson

If you're already promoting AMBOSS to your peers, why not get a reward for all your hard work? As an AMBOSSador, you'll enjoy complimentary unlimited AMBOSS access, early access to new features, and exclusive AMBOSS merch.

What's the most fun part of being an AMBOSSador?

One of my favorite parts of being an AMBOSSador is the opportunity to interact with AMBOSS leadership. Through conversations with Dr. C****o, I learned about features I hadn't previously used, such as the Study Plans and Courses, which helped my academic performance throughout my pre-clinical and Step 1 studying. AMBOSS also helped me organize an outreach event with lunch and giveaways for our first-year medical students. It was nice not only to benefit from these tools myself but also to help other students discover resources that can improve their studying.

Personally, one of the best parts of being an AMBOSSador has been the community that I have been able to form with other AMBOSSadors in my class. Beyond helping each other carry out our roles, we have gotten to know each other as friends and have worked together to discover new ways to benefit from AMBOSS and share it with others at our school.

I really believe in the value of AMBOSS and that is why I chose to use it. As an AMBOSSador, I was able to take my passion for mentorship and love of the product to help students maximize their learning potential. Several students now use AMBOSS at my school...I see how they gain a new confidence with learning.

    Burrell College of Health Sciences

I fell in love with AMBOSS as I felt it aided me in learning the medicine and pathophysiology of it all without focusing too strongly on just board-prep. Once I learned how great this tool was, I was eager to share it with my peers. It is the only platform I have seen offer interactive info sessions for students to explore and try the platform for themselves, no strings attached. I was eager and happy to advocate for student requests, including the Step 1 and 2 diagnostic exams and additional free trial weeks at my school.

When I was an M1, I had no one to properly guide me on which resources to use in preparation for both in-house exams and boards. So far, the best parts of my experience as an AMBOSSador is actually being a mentor and helping underclassmen actually integrate the Qbank to their in-house studies, while staying focused on board-related material.

One of the best parts of my experience has been meeting the people who work so hard behind the scenes to keep improving AMBOSS and fostering a culture of sharing (and not gatekeeping) study strategies. My discussions with our Office of Student Support were instrumental in adding AMBOSS to the workshops they held to study for Step 1. Seeing more than 80 people join to learn how we can all learn better was incredibly valuable and rewarding.

AMBOSSadors are students (and residents) who feel AMBOSS has made a big difference for them, and want to help others at their school to benefit too.

Every medical school is different. The curriculum, exams, faculty expectations, and study culture all vary. The most valuable thing an AMBOSSador brings isn't simply knowing the platform... it's knowing how to use AMBOSS effectively for the specific challenges students face at their institution.

That can look very different depending on the school and on the person. Some AMBOSSadors help organize workshops for incoming students, making sure they start medical school with the right study system from day one. Others become the person classmates turn to when they're trying to figure out how to use AMBOSS for a difficult block, clerkship, or board exam. Some end up being the reason their school ends up providing AMBOSS as a third-party tool to all students!

Many also work directly with our physician and product team, sharing feedback on new features, helping us better understand how students at their school learn, and advocating for things like workshops, discounts, or broader institutional access when they believe it would benefit their peers.

At its heart, being an AMBOSSador is about helping students at your school have an easier, more successful journey through medical school than they otherwise would have.

The biggest advantage isn't actually the free AMBOSS access (although you'll receive that too!).

It's becoming part of a community of students and physicians who are passionate about making medical education better.

As an AMBOSSador you'll have opportunities to:

    • Help shape how students at your school discover and gain access to AMBOSS.
    • Work directly with physicians and educators at AMBOSS on new ideas, products, and educational initiatives.
    • Advocate for workshops, institutional partnerships, or discounts that benefit your batch or lowerclassmen.
    • Develop leadership experience by helping hundreds of peers make better use of the tools already available to them.
    • Connect with other AMBOSSadors across the country and get to know people at different schools or clinics.

You'll also receive unlimited AMBOSS access, early opportunities to try new features, invitations to special events, and other rewards throughout the year.

We understand that medical school comes first. Always. We know firsthand that there are weeks (and sometimes entire rotations or dedicated periods!) when there's simply no bandwidth for anything else.

That's why the program is intentionally flexible. All we expect from an AMBOSSador is not to “leave us on read” and simply let us know when a request is coming in at an especially intense time.

AMBOSSadors occasionally help organise AMBOSS events or spread the word about new AMBOSS features… but there isn’t an exact schedule. It can vary from institution to institution, and of course, we’re grateful you’re helping us in your free time and are happy to work around your schedule. As a rule of thumb, you will do something substantial with AMBOSS approximately every 4-6 months.

We're looking for medical students at schools in the US and the Caribbean who really enjoy using AMBOSS and, more importantly, care about using that knowledge to help other students succeed.

The best AMBOSSadors aren't necessarily the loudest people on campus. They're the ones classmates naturally turn to for advice because they've figured out effective ways to navigate medical school. They’re down-to-earth people who are happy to share what they've learned.

As a bonus, we do tend to prioritize applicants who show a natural inclination towards making a positive impact at scale (for example, those who try to make something happen that helps an entire cohort, instead of a small group of mentees).

Are you in another part of the world? We have AMBOSSador programs for Residents and students in other countries too. Click here to find out more.

First of all, thank you for taking the time! We’re excited to read about your experience and how you've been using AMBOSS.

If you were encouraged to apply by an AMBOSS employee, feel free to let them know you’ve submitted this application. They will contact our team internally and help get your application processed ASAP.

If we think you'd be a great fit, one of our physicians or program leads will invite you for a conversation to learn about your journey through medical school, understand the challenges students face at your institution, answer all your questions about the role, and explore together how you might help future students have an easier time than you did.

After that, if we're both excited about moving forward, we'll welcome you into the AMBOSSador community and get you started.
