A set of sensory nerves that transmit pain and temperature (lateral tract) as well as crude touch and pressure (anterior tract). Neurons receive signals from primary neurons exiting the Lissauer tract and project axons that decussate in the anterior white commissure and ascend on the contralateral side of the body to the thalamus.
