Fibrofatty connective tissue that surrounds the uterus and the supravaginal portion of the cervix. Is composed of the round ligament, broad ligament, cardinal ligament, and uterosacral ligaments. The uterine pedicle, lymphatics, nerves, and the ureter pass through the parametrium.
