A drug that consists of immunoglobulins that bind to a single, specific antigen. Used to treat many different conditions. Examples include alemtuzumab, an anti-CD52 antibody used to treat chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and abciximab, an anti-glycoprotein IIb/IIIa antibody used to inhibit platelet function.
