Leukocyte rolling

The second step in leukocyte extravasation, which is characterized by a transient, weak interaction of leukocytes with endothelial cells. Mediated by adhesion molecules on endothelial cells (e.g., P-selectin, E-selectin, GlyCAM-1, and CD34) and leukocytes (e.g., Sialyl-LewisX, L-selectin).
