A long-acting dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker with a half-life > 24 hours commonly used in the management of hypertension, angina and supraventricular arrhythmias. Adverse effects include headaches, peripheral edema (especially compared to other dihydropyridine agents), and reflex tachycardia.
