Hello, we are AMBOSS, and we are looking for a VP of People to join our executive team.

AMBOSS is a powerful learning and clinical decision support tool, supporting hundreds of thousands of doctors worldwide to provide the best possible care. Founded in 2012, we now celebrate our 10-year anniversary with our team of 500 employees. We are spread across 4 offices (Berlin, Cologne, New York, Sardinia) and multiple remote locations around the world.

After a steep growth phase over the past two years in terms of headcount, we are now focussing on driving efficiency and impact across the organization while maintaining high revenue growth.

What you will do:

As the VP of People, you will oversee the Talent Acquisition, People, and Workplace Experience teams and report directly into one of our Co-CEOs. We are looking for someone who excels at building a performance-driven culture with empathy. You will be responsible for driving that change and ensuring our culture of ambition and hunger for impact finds its way into every corner of the company while staying true to our values. You build relationships quickly with all AMBOSSians and are a role model for all AMBOSSians.

  • You are part of the executive team and have a coaching mentality to the entire team.
  • Drive the effort to refine our culture and find ways to scale it throughout the entire company; make sure our culture finds its way into performance management.
  • Drive People Strategy at AMBOSS.
  • Own Compensation & Benefits: Establish, implement and maintain policies that ensure fair and objective compensation principles (Leveling, ESOP, Bonus, …).
  • Organizational design: Key driver to implement organizational changes into the org.
  • Lead our efforts on equitable design, diversity, and inclusion: Designing a workplace where every AMBOSSian feels a sense of belonging.
  • Analyse the performance, efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment of HR, HR Operations, TA, and Workplace Experience.
  • Ensure effectiveness of HR policies and their communication and implementation.

Your Profile:

  • Very experienced: Scale-up experience, people management in People or Operations with a proven track record of change management and consolidation.
  • Huge plus: Experience during IPO phase and/or HR experience in the US.
  • Strategic and analytical: Our organization is complex, healthcare is complex. You are willing to dive deep to understand our strategy, business goals, and operations to derive concrete actions from them that serve our business and fit our organization.
  • Achiever: You own projects end to end, and you radiate that attitude to everyone around you.
  • Empathetic and approachable leader: You build relationships quickly with all AMBOSSians.
  • Excellent communication skills. You know how to communicate effectively, frame information in the organizational context, and can rally the team behind you.
  • Most important, you have mature judgment, are curious, and are open-minded.
